FREE movie premier to MAMMA MIA at Gurney Plaza GSC!! Thanks NUFFNANG!!
I saw a lot of senior citizen and unfamiliar faces. Wooo me.. but I did spot a few bloggers; princess, mosquito, and kok. The movie is full of people dancing, jumping and loads of fun. Kind a like High School Musical but it is mostly aunties and uncles that do all the dancing instead of high school kids.
Oh yea, not to missed out some of their naughty naughty jokes, my poor sister kept asking me what is it all about because everybody laughed except her.
Especially the DOT DOT DOT part.. lol..

To me the movie is fun, not bad and I like it. Though I felt a little gross at the part where old people kissing with all the face wrinkling and saggy (Hey what to do, they ZOOM in leh). It’s not that I’m discriminating the seniors just that normally the kissing part in movies were sexy and steamy by young actors and just not like this lar… lol… Okay.. I’ll learn to normalize myself by watching more old people kissing?! Eew.. Oops I meant erm.. Oish.. I don’t think from here things will go right.. so… Ignore… lol…

MAMMA MIA

The infamous tune that sends a tingling sensation to ones ears. Hard to resist the temptation to sing a long when you hear the Mamma Mia song. It is no shock that this song from ABBA can find ways to captivate our modern heart, since it is a chart-topper way back in the year 1975. Today I’m not here to promote the song but rather a Movie that titled Mamma Mia. On second thought, it doesn’t need my promo also since everywhere now is promoting this movie.

I’m looking forward to see Meryl Streep putting those who are 59 years old into shame. Ehehehe.. naw la.. jk.. Rather than shame those who are in the 50’s or going to 60’s should probably look upon her. She is very inspiring. In the Mamma Mia trailer that I watched shows that she knows how to have fun and look fun in her character. When I age I do hope I have her energy. I know all is just an act but if I have the energy to act as if I’m having fun and enjoy with my grandkids when I’m that old, HECK Why Not!!! Lol…

Oh well, that’s still long way to go. Right now, I’ll just be a 22 years old lady who will have as much fun as she can while watching Mamma Mia this 22nd Sept 2008 courtesy by Nuffnang!!!

The party is so cool that it is on TV?! Ehehe.. but too bad lil me is nowhere insight. Sigh.. Mostly is due to my late arrival to the party because busy hunting for the right make-up artist. Check out previous post for the event while here is how I got the invitation to the party.

Behind The Scene

The entire hunt finally came to an end when I found the angel who is brave enough to take up the challenge; to transform me into a lion (as if I’m not fierce enough in real life =P ). Wayne darling, she’s just superb. She’s very gorgeous as you can see, she did the make up with Tender Loving Care and is very open for comment and amend. She is a freelance beauty art stylish and work in Sunway Pyramid Shu Uemura. Anyone who needs Stage, Bridal to Fancy & Fantasy Make-up can find her for appointment or buzz me for her contacts.

Her work is so superb that it helped me to win a Dell XPS 1330 that are said to be worth 4-5k. For that night I’m the Queen of The Jungle. My brother collected my prize from Maxis (they’re the main sponsors) weeks ago and brought back to Penang for me from KL. Thanks to him, otherwise I’ll be the one who carry the huge box instead for the whole 4 hours trip.

Imagine if I’m the one who carried the huge box instead..

Friday,

After wor, I rush to rent costume.
At first I was so sad because they don’t have any costume that look appealing to me and
then I saw this fury outfit and thought that it might work as lion by adding ears and tail. So Lion it is.
I swear to ya’ll that it’s the sexiest outfit I ever wear out to face the public.
It took me a lot of guts to bare my whole stomach out to the world when I don’t have Fergie’s body.

 

Okay.. I digressed.

 

After I got my costume I went to buy ticket and unfortunately it’s sold out and left Saturday Noon.
I freak and search and finally settled for Saturday 9am from another bus company name Super Nice
(which extremely not nice at all, I felt as if I sat in a spoilt massage chair during the whole journey).
I went back home and survey on face painting and
Lion pictures on the net and when all done, it’s already close to 4am in the morning.

 

 

Saturday,

Slept at 4am then woke up at 6am to bath and pack my bag.
I rushed and had to wait for the darn bus for 45minutes! See how Not nice is it.
Then arrived around 3pm at Pudu for Shida (Thanks dear for all the help)
to come and pick me up and we went for lunch.

 

 

After that, we search around for make up artist to give me a Lion look.
We search as if we’re on some Treasure Hunting, from Taipan to SS15 to Sunway and
finally found somebody to do the make up at Sunway Pyramid.
I went from shop to shop and got rejection and weird look from people when I asked for Lion face.
Never in my life have I walked into so many Beauty Salons before.
They all are either closed or don’t provide such services. By the time I finished my make up is around 8pm and I’m forced to change into my outfit inside the car (it is Kelisa, so imagine lar ha..).

 

 

 

I reached there around 8.30pm and with heart thumping from all the rushing and puffing,
I end up looking like a scared Lion. I know nobody there and thank god I met Estee,
she’s so kind and we became friends in a snap (too bad didn’t manage to snap picture with her).
Then only I felt like I’m not alone.

 

 

 

Didn’t even cross my mind that I can win nor be the Top 3 Best Dress of the night.
I was chatting at the photo booth when Ah Liang shouted for me a few times and
I walked blurrily there. Took me a moment before I realised it is for the Top 3 Best Dressed of the night.

 

 

 

When they are announcing the Queen of the night, got one kind man asked me;
Stranger: Do you want me to snap picture for you when you receive the prize?

Me: No thanks. I don’t think I will win.

Ah Liang: Jolyn the Lioness!!

Me:*say nothing and just push the camera to the stranger*

 

Wahahahaha.. I thank the Stranger but I don’t know who he is.

 

 

Erm.. After a few ponders..
Okay,I admit.
I do have some luck because of these people;

My Bf – That drive me here and there to search for the outfit and ticket and station etc.

Shida – That Pick me up and drive me around throughout the day at KL.

Yunda – That meet me up just to put my belonging inside his car for safe keeping because hard for me to walk around in a Lion outfit while carrying a bag pack right.. lol

Estee- Who accompanied me throughout the night and be OH SO kind to me.

Mak- Who patient enough to wait for me near to an hour (I told him to pick me up at 10pm) to pick me up to go change and send me to pudu for my 11.59pm bus.

 

 

 

And last but not least all those who voted me for the Queen of the Jungle title.
